Kicki .......  "I met  a whippet for the first time in the early 70's. I loved dogs and constantly nagged my parents for a one of my own, but thought that whippet was the ugliest dog that I had ever seen. I told my parents that absolutely didn't want a dog like that. But about a year later our next door neighbour bought an adult whippet boy from the old Swedish kennel Zätaängs and I fell completely  in love with him.
In 1974 I finally got my own dream dog; a bluebrindle whippet puppy! His name was Jack-a-Dandy  and he was by the English import Ch Baydale Bronze Miller out of a Per-Mo'bile bitch.  I tried a lot of things with him; oval track racing, Whippet Race and also showed him a couple of times. He was no show dog, but loved racing.
In 1977 I got my first whippet girl. Her name was Goat-Wools Fiffie (Ch Memoars Elit x Goat-Wools Amourette). I won a CAC with her and also BOS from the Veteranclass under world famous whippet breeder R M James. She is the mother of the first ever Zelig litter born  in
16.3 .1981.
